What a weekend of aerial acrobatics! 🥇🥈 China’s freestyle ski squads claimed gold and silver in the mixed team aerials final at the Chongli stop of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, held this past Sunday at the Secret Garden Snow Park in Zhangjiakou.
This season's second aerials event featured 10 teams from seven countries and regions. China was represented by two powerhouse squads: Team 1 (Xu Mengtao, Qi Guangpu, Li Tianma) and Team 2 (Chen Meiting, Wang Xindi, Sun Jiaxu). Both advanced to the final alongside Australia and the USA.
Despite high winds whipping across the venue, athletes delivered gravity-defying flips and twists in every round. The showdown came down to the final moments, when 2022 Olympic champ Qi Guangpu nailed a stunning jump, pushing China Team 1 to the top with 315.35 points. Team 2 secured silver with 308.49 points, while the USA team grabbed bronze.
Congrats to all the athletes for an adrenaline-packed display of skill! 🎿❄️ Stay tuned for more snow-sport action as the World Cup circuit slides on. 😎
