CMG’s Children’s Channel Unveils 30+ New 2026 Shows

Earlier this week in Beijing, the Children's Channel of China Media Group (CMG) unveiled its exciting program lineup for 2026 🎉. With over 30 brand-new shows, CMG is aiming to inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and nurture positive values in young viewers across Asia.

At the launch event, CMG president Shen Haixiong was joined by Feng Ling (vice president of the All-China Women's Federation), Wu Yiqin (vice president of the China Writers Association), and children's author Gao Hongbo. Together, they highlighted how the 2026 slate will explore innovative formats – from interactive stories to edutainment shorts – that blend learning with fun 🚀.

For many South and Southeast Asian families, homegrown hits like Chhota Bheem in India or Upin & Ipin in Malaysia have shown the power of impactful kids' content. CMG's new shows promise fresh twists on this formula, with animation, live-action adventures, and even VR experiences that bring lessons to life.

On the same day, CMG's Sports and Youth Program Center rolled out a new initiative to boost collaboration among government bodies, businesses, and media groups. The goal? To elevate the quality and reach of children's programming across platforms – so kids everywhere can access safe, engaging content on TV or mobile 📱.

Stay tuned for more updates as CMG gets ready to roll out these shows in early 2026. Young viewers, get set for a year of exploration, fun, and learning!
