Wolf Supermoon 2026 Lights Up Sky 🌕

Wolf Supermoon 2026 Lights Up Sky 🌕

Last night, January 3–4, 2026, skywatchers across South and Southeast Asia were treated to the Wolf Supermoon—our year’s final supermoon in a streak of four! 🌕✨

What’s a supermoon? It happens when the moon swings closest to Earth in its orbit (called perigee), making it look up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual. Think of it as the moon’s biggest, brightest encore before it shrinks back in size.

From rooftop cafés in Bangkok to terrace views in Kerala, the lunar glow painted cityscapes and rice terraces with a magical silver light. Many grabbed their phones and DSLRs for Insta-worthy shots—some even shared time-lapse videos of the moon rising over palm trees and city skylines.

These four consecutive supermoons have been a treat: starting last October, then November, December, and wrapping up with January’s Wolf Supermoon. The next grand lunar show is set for November 24, 2026—so mark your calendars! 📅

Tip for next time: Find a spot away from bright city lights, set your camera’s focus on the moon, and adjust exposure to avoid a washed-out lunar disc. And hey, invite your friends, brew some chai or kopi, and enjoy the cosmic view together! 🌙☕️

Stay tuned for more skywatching guides, and keep those eyes on the stars (and moons)! 🚀
