Zhang Kexin Snags FIS Halfpipe Silver in Calgary

Hey snow lovers! ❄️ Chinese skier Zhang Kexin hit the halfpipe in Calgary with a bang, snagging silver 🥈 at the FIS Freeski World Cup.

Qualification day saw Li Fanghui topping the leaderboard, steering three of China's four women into the final. Li led the pack in qualifying but hit a snag in her first final run, scoring just 26.40 points.

Competing third from last, Zhang opened with an 84.20-point run, solid enough to hold on for silver despite a quieter second attempt. Li bounced back in run two with huge height and tough tricks, but a slightly messy finish left her in fourth place with 82.80 points.

Australia's Indra Brown claimed gold with 85.20 points, while Liu Yishan finished seventh. Olympic champion Gu Ailing sat this one out to focus on training ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games.

This silver marks a big boost for Zhang's comeback journey after an injury-hit prep — and with Milano Cortina on the horizon, we can't wait to see what she does next! 🔥⛷️
