China, Uzbekistan FMs Pledge Stronger Ties on 10th Anniversary 🤝🌏

Today, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi 📞 connected with Uzbekistan's FM Bakhtiyor Saidov to mark the 10th anniversary of their all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. 🤝🌏

Wang Yi said that last year saw booming trade, cultural exchanges and local tie-ups fueling strong momentum, all backed by tight political trust between the two leaders.

He noted that since early 2026, global tensions have spiked – new conflicts and one-sided power plays are on the rise. He urged both sides to boost strategic coordination, support each other’s core interests and reject a 'law of the jungle' order, while upholding the United Nations and basic rules of international relations.

On this decade milestone, Wang called for fresh roadmaps to deepen cooperation in the years ahead. 📅✨

Saidov, recalling President Mirziyoyev’s visit to China last September, said that visit gave new energy to bilateral ties. He stressed that strengthening relations with China remains Uzbekistan’s top priority and that mutual trust is rock-solid.

He also reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s support for the one-China principle and opposition to any actions harming China’s sovereignty. Saidov hopes to implement leaders’ consensus, expand cooperation in tech, trade and regional hubs, and jointly defend multilateralism and international law.

For tech-savvy young pros across South and Southeast Asia, this call hints at more cross-border projects, student exchanges and cultural events coming our way. Get ready for Silk Road 2.0! 🚀
