Osaka is buzzing with excitement as the China Pavilion officially opened at Expo 2025! The grand ceremony, held in front of a stunning building inspired by a traditional Chinese calligraphy scroll, set the tone for an event that perfectly blends cultural heritage and futuristic innovation. 🎉
With around 300 guests in attendance, the ceremony featured insightful speeches. Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, shared his vision of a confident, open China that supports Japan in hosting the expo and pushes for a more equal, inclusive global future.
International voices were also heard. Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, highlighted the opportunity for visitors to experience China’s rich cultural heritage, ancient wisdom, and modern breakthroughs. Meanwhile, Masakazu Tokura, Chairperson of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo, emphasized that this event is a stepping stone for innovative international cooperation.
The opening festivities featured traditional lion dance moves and a vibrant performance of the dance drama "The Crested Ibis," which truly captivated the audience. This artistic flair perfectly complements the pavilion's theme: "Building a community of life for man and nature – future society of green development."
Spanning approximately 3,500 square meters, the pavilion is divided into three sections showcasing China’s centuries-old ecological wisdom, modern green development initiatives, and visions for global collaboration toward a sustainable future. Highlights include displays of lunar soil samples from the Chang'e-5 and Chang'e-6 missions, the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible experience capsule, and cutting-edge humanoid robots. 🚀
Running from April 13 to October 13, 2025, Osaka Expo promises a dynamic journey where tradition meets technology. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a culture buff, this immersive experience is a must-see!
