The 2025 Shenzhen (Longhua)-Milan Dual-City Fashion Week has officially kicked off with the spectacular 'Art Beyond Boundaries' showcase! In a vibrant celebration of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, over 150 artists, designers, entrepreneurs, and media reps gathered in Milan on April 9 at 6 p.m. for an epic fusion of culture and technology.
One of the evening's highlights was the unforgettable runway debut of the robot \"Kuafu\" 🤖, crafted by Leju Robotics and styled by the acclaimed Chinese brand HUI. Its rhythmic precision on the runway and interactive performance with traditional embroiders instantly charged the atmosphere, proving that tech and tradition can create magic together!
Keynote speakers also added an inspiring touch. Barbara Mazzali, Regional Councillor for Tourism, Fashion, Design and Regional Marketing of Lombardy, remarked, "Last year, Italian fashion made its exciting debut in Shenzhen. This year, as we welcome Shenzhen to Milan, we are building a bridge for global integration." Huang Limin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Longhua District Committee in Shenzhen, highlighted the city's evolution from 'Made in China' to 'Designed in China', emphasizing the critical role of technological innovation in transforming the fashion industry.
A major milestone of the event was the unveiling of the Shenzhen (Longhua)-Milan Fashion Trade Cooperation Office—a one-stop service center designed to support international brand incubation, protect intellectual property, and enable Chinese brands to integrate swiftly into the global fashion supply chain.
The exhibition also captivated visitors by juxtaposing Renaissance artworks with cutting-edge products from Shenzhen. Highlights included a mesmerizing Damo V4 drone swarm performance, LOHO & Flash E Paipai A1 AI glasses, K5 intelligent micro projectors, photon transparent televisions, and Yongfengyuan’s exquisite 'Ziyun Tiancheng' porcelain series. This blend of old-world artistry and futuristic technology created a dynamic space where tradition meets tomorrow.
Running until April 14, the fashion week will feature engaging sessions like 'Fashion & Tradition: Dual-City Cultural Sharing' and 'Design Wander: Industry-Innovation Integration', offering hands-on opportunities for fashion professionals to network and inspire fresh ideas. This event is a must-watch for anyone excited by the interplay of technology, art, and cultural heritage. 🌟
