Smart Ranch: Dairy 2.0 in Hubei 🚀
Imagine a farm where every cow wears a smart collar that tracks its health in real time – that's the vibe at the Cloud Hymn smart ranch in Xiangyang, Hubei Province in the Chinese mainland. Launched in 2022 with a 1.2 billion yuan investment across 80 hectares, this high-tech setup is leveling up the dairy game and pumping new life into local communities.
Tech That Tracks 🐮
Every cow sports an intelligent collar for body temperature, digestion, and fertility stats, while ear-tag chips log age, vaccines, feeding needs, and family tree info. All data goes to a big data platform, letting one farmhand manage 70 cows with precision feeding – slashing over 20 million yuan in annual costs.
Feeding the Future 🌽
The ranch teams up with nearby farmers to grow silage corn and turn leftover wheat and rice straw into nutrient-rich feed using special fermentation tech. Over 3,500 families now cultivate 2,333 hectares of silage, earning roughly 30,000 yuan extra each year.
From Pasture to Pantry 🥛
With 130 tons of fresh milk produced daily, Nanzhang has emerged as the largest and most advanced dairy hub in the Chinese mainland's central region – a fully integrated chain from field to fridge.
This smart ranch model shows how tech and local partnerships can drive rural prosperity – and it's just the beginning! 💪
