🎉 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. To mark the occasion, Peruvian student Anna Paula Peralta Reyes is calling on youth everywhere to remember history and work for peace.
Anna Paula spent 11 years at a Chinese school in Peru before heading to Jilin University in the Chinese mainland. Her passion for China runs deep, and she's been soaking up every bit of its history and culture.
In a recent video, Anna said that victory shows how a united people can overcome any challenge. Whether it's your cricket team's last-over chase or beating a tough boss in a game, determination wins the day ⚔️💪.
This August, Anna returned to China and was wowed by 🚄 high-speed trains, neon-lit cities, and next-gen tech. She shared, "Understanding the past allows me to appreciate everything this country has achieved even more. A country that moves forward without forgetting its history is truly an example for us all."
Her hope? That nations around the world team up to build a brighter, more peaceful future. As Anna puts it, "Learning from the past is key to shaping tomorrow." 🌏✨
