Who Inspires You? Youth on Female Role Models Before Beijing Meeting 🌟

The Chinese mainland is gearing up for the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women in Beijing, marking the anniversary of the 1995 World Conference on Women. 🌏✨ This event shines a global spotlight on women’s progress, development, and cultural influence.

CGTN Stringer took to the streets across the Chinese mainland, Africa and Latin America to chat about everything from women’s advancement to female-led films and books. The goal? To capture real stories and fresh perspectives on what female empowerment looks like around the world.

In Beijing, Tsinghua University student Betizhe Osmanova Akova asked local youth about their "female role models." A researcher surnamed Li shared, "Any woman who starts to feel confident about herself can be an inspiration to her." 👏💪

Meanwhile, Zhang, a young woman studying in the city, named her mother as her biggest role model. "As I was growing up, she taught me a lot in my studies and how to interact with others," she said. 💖

Whether it’s coding queens in Bangalore, street artists in Jakarta, or community changemakers in Yangon, young people everywhere are finding inspiration in women who break barriers and lead with heart. From #MeToo to digital activism, these role models remind us that confidence, kindness and creativity are the ultimate power moves. 🎥📚

As the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women kicks off, take a moment to think: who inspires you? Share your story and keep the conversation going! 🙌
