Chinese mainland-Vietnam Youth Chat: Women’s Education Soars 🎓

At the recent Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women in Beijing (Oct 13-14), Vietnamese vlogger Tiểu Thanh teamed up with her friend Zhang Le to dive into how women’s education has climbed in the Chinese mainland over the past decade.

🎓 Back in 2010, more women than men were enrolling in bachelor’s and associate degree programs at universities across the Chinese mainland. Fast forward to today, and that gap has widened even more – a real win for gender parity in classrooms!

💡 What’s behind this shift? The government rolled out support initiatives like the Spring Bud Project (a scholarship scheme helping girls finish school), bringing more financial and social backing to female students.

🤝 “As education levels rise, women feel more confident about economic independence,” says Zhang Le, a teacher. “This sparks new mindsets and drives social progress.”

From smartphones powering remote learning to young changemakers sharing stories on social platforms, this youth dialogue highlights how education is reshaping futures and fueling progress across the region. 🌏✨
