Indonesian Youth Champion People Power for Asia-Pacific Unity 🌏

Asia-Pacific is more than just trade deals and politics. For young leaders like Navira Putri Apriliani, a management consultant from Indonesia, it’s about human bonds that spark unity across borders 🌏✨.

At the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea (Oct 31–Nov 1), delegates gathered under “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow – Connect, Innovate, Prosper.” Alongside top leaders hashing out sustainability and tech, CGTN launched the #ActToAction social campaign, inviting youth from all APEC economies to share stories on global governance (aka how countries team up on big issues like climate change, trade, and tech). 📲💬

Navira, who joined APEC Voices of the Future in Thailand 2022, says that swapping playlists, street food tips, and TikTok trends with peers taught her more than any policy brief. “When we jam to K-pop, share rendangs, or debate the latest app hack over a virtual coffee, we bridge cultures,” she explains. Beyond spreadsheets and summit halls, she believes people-to-people connections are “truly what unites our region.” 🤝❤️

For tech-savvy youths in South and Southeast Asia juggling studies, startups, and social causes, Navira’s insights are a reminder: global unity can start with small moments—a shared meme, a cross-border collab, or a group chat turning into lifelong friendships. 🌟
