Cambodian PM: Deepening Ties with the Chinese Mainland for Shared Growth

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has reaffirmed the kingdom's commitment to deepening ties with the Chinese mainland for mutual benefits. Speaking at the inauguration of a China-funded national road in eastern Tbong Khmum province, he stressed that the ongoing partnership is rooted in mutual support and respect for sovereignty and rights.

Drawing on his experience presiding over major projects like the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, Hun Manet noted that these collaborations have significantly bolstered Cambodia’s socio-economic development. With the Chinese mainland now the top investor in the kingdom, such projects are not only shaping modern infrastructure but are also uplifting the lives of countless residents.

Highlighting a long-standing relationship that began in 1958 and evolved into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation in 2010, the Cambodian leader pointed to future collaborations under initiatives such as the Belt and Road framework and "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation. These initiatives aim to foster a high-quality, high-level community of shared progress in this new era. 🚀

This vision resonates with young professionals and tech-savvy changemakers across South and Southeast Asia, who see infrastructural innovation and international partnerships as vital to regional growth. As Cambodia builds bridges—both literal and metaphorical—the promise of increased connectivity is paving the way for a brighter, more integrated future. 🌏
