Hey fam, it's been nearly two years since those fateful events on October 7, 2023, when Hamas’ attack on Israel triggered massive retaliatory strikes on Gaza—leaving almost 70,000 lives lost and countless families torn apart. 😢
We chatted with Professor Adam Habib, vice-chancellor at London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). He didn’t hold back, calling Israel’s actions 'genocidal' and blasting the world for standing by as a politically orchestrated famine rips through Gaza.
'It is unacceptable that we have the scale of murder broadcast on television,' Habib says. 'What we have is a politically orchestrated famine.' He warns that when right-wing chauvinist politics drive policy, the scars run deep—and images of a starving, bombarded Gaza will haunt global conscience for decades to come.
