🤝 Eritrea & Sudan are teaming up to push for a safer, more stable Red Sea region – a major win for trade routes and local communities alike.
On Sunday, Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki met with Sudans Finance Minister Gibril Ibrahim and Information Minister Khalid Aleisir to strengthen political coordination and explore sectoral collaboration. This includes discussions on trade, security, and joint projects aimed at benefiting both nations.
Afwerki, who made late-year visits to Saudi Arabia and Egypt to broaden regional ties, reiterated Eritreas support for Sudans security amid ongoing challenges since the April 2023 conflict. Sudanese officials praised Eritrea for granting fee exemptions and freedom of movement to Sudanese residents affected by the conflict.
For tech-savvy youth and early professionals across South and Southeast Asia, a stable Red Sea means smoother e-commerce shipments, safer maritime jobs, and more investment opportunities. With both countries focused on collaboration, the horizon looks promising for regional connectivity and growth. 🌍
