Taklimakan Rally Wraps Up: 13 Days & 4000+ km of Off-Road Action

The legendary Taklimakan Rally has just wrapped up after 13 thrilling days in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region! Covering over 4,000 km with 10 special stages totaling 2,350 km of pure off-road racing, this event has become Asia's longest and most competitive rally since its inception in 2005. 🚗🏍️

This year’s edition saw 23 motorcycles and 105 vehicles brave roughly 5,200 km through challenging deserts, gravel roads, river crossings, and rugged mountains. The action peaked in a dramatic 52 km final stage where Liu Yangui and navigator Chen Feng from the Shan'xi Yunxiang Team clinched the car category title in an impressive time of 27:08:15 — marking Liu's second victory, his first being in 2014.

Hot on their heels, Tao Yongming and co-driver Shen Xin of the Hebei Qian'an Jiujiang Auto and Motorcycle Sports Club secured second place, while Lin Dewei and navigator Wang Yang from the Duonai Shock Absorber Team wrapped up the top three.

In the motorcycle division, Martin Michek of the Hoto Factory Racing Team topped the podium with a total time of 28:31:04. His Lithuanian teammate Arunas Gelazninkas followed closely, with China's Shi Haoyu completing a thrilling finish.
