China Shines in ISSF Mixed Team Events!

In an electrifying showdown at the ISSF World Cup in Munich, China’s marksmen and markswomen lit up the arena with record-breaking performances! China’s Hu Kai and Yao Qianxun led the charge in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event, blazing a trail with an 8-0 lead and clinching a solid 16-4 victory. ⚡️

Over in the 10m air rifle final, the dynamic duo Wang Zifei and Sheng Lihao, fresh off setting a groundbreaking record with a score of 635.9 in qualifications, delivered a potent performance and secured the silver. However, India’s Arya Borse and Arjun Babuta turned up the heat with a string of high 10s to grab the gold, while Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg closed the gap for bronze.

At only 18, Wang has quickly emerged as a rising star—earlier, she not only claimed gold in the women’s 10m air rifle but also smashed both junior and overall qualification records, remaining undefeated on this season’s World Cup circuit. Sheng Lihao also added a bronze medal from Thursday’s men’s individual contest to his growing collection.

These stellar performances helped cement China’s top position in the overall medal tally with four golds, one silver, and two bronzes.
