USA Shatters World Record at 2025 Aquatics Champs

Hey everyone! The 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore wrapped up with some jaw-dropping moments 😮. The USA clinched gold in the women’s 4×100-meter medley relay, smashing their own world record at 3:49.34. Australia grabbed silver in 3:52.67, while a strong Chinese quartet powered through to take bronze in 3:54.77.

Rising stars and seasoned champions lit up the pool. Tang, fresh from a silver in the 100-meter breaststroke at Paris 2024, added another medal in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 30.03 seconds, trailing Lithuania’s Ruta Meilutyte—a four-time world title winner who nailed it in 29.55 seconds! 💪

The women’s 50-meter freestyle was a nail-biter too, with China’s Cheng finishing with bronze (24.28 sec), Wu Qingfeng securing silver (24.26 sec), and Australia’s Meg Harris clinching gold at 24.02 seconds.

On the men’s side, France’s Olympic champion Leon Marchand scored his second gold in the 400-meter individual medley with an impressive 4:04.73 after already breaking the world record in the 200-meter individual medley earlier. Tunisia’s Ahmed Jaouadi also shone, winning gold in both the 800-meter and 1500-meter freestyle (14:34.41) races.

Adding to the excitement, the men’s 50-meter backstroke saw neutral athlete Kliment Kolesnikov triumph with a swift 23.68 seconds, and the Neutral Athletes B squad stormed to victory in the men’s 4×100-meter medley relay with a record time of 3:26.93.
