Seven Chinese Players Gear Up for Australian Open 2026 Singles

Heads up, tennis fans! The first Grand Slam of next season, the Australian Open 2026, has just released its mens and womens singles entry lists and seven players from the Chinese Tennis Association are in the mix at Melbourne Park! 🎾✨

On the womens side, 2024 runner-up Zheng Qinwen leads the charge, joined by Wang Xinyu, Zhang Shuai, and Wang Yafan whos back thanks to ranking protection (a system that lets players sidelined by injury use their old ranking to enter big events).

Over on the mens side, Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng also made it in via ranking protection, while wildcard Buyunchaokete gets a shot at the main draw.

Its not just the Chinese stars to watch: the worlds Top 10 will all be in Melbourne, with two-time champ Aryna Sabalenka and defending champ Madison Keys headlining the womens field. On the mens side, World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is chasing his first title at the Aussie Open, Jannik Sinner aims for a hat-trick, and Novak Djokovic, at 38, is gunning for an 11th crown and a record-extending 25th Grand Slam. 🏆

Mark your calendars for January and get ready to cheer on these talents under the Melbourne sun! 🌞🏟️
