Su Yiming’s Back-to-Back 1980 Spins Earn Guinness World Record

Guess what? Olympic gold medalist Su Yiming just landed a new Guinness World Record! 🎉

This Thursday (December 25, 2025), Guinness World Records officially certified Su's unreal "back-to-back 1980" — the most 1980-degree spins in a single coherent run on a snowboard. For context, that's two consecutive 1,980° rotations (aka 5½ full spins each) all in one go! 🏂

He pulled off this mind-blowing trick during a training session at the Stamping Grounds Project in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, on October 7, 2025. Talk about peaking at the right time! ❄️

This marks Su's second Guinness title. He first made history back in October 2021 by nailing the backslide 1980 Indy Crail at Prime Park Sessions in Stubai, Austria.

And he's not slowing down! This season, the 21-year-old kicked things off with back-to-back World Cup wins at Genting Resort Secret Garden in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, and the Shougang Big Air Jump in Beijing. 🥇🥇

With the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics just around the corner, Su Yiming is 🔥 and ready to defend his snowboarding crown. Stay tuned for more epic moves! 🚀
