Hey everyone, exciting news from the disaster relief front! Over the past 12 days, three courageous Chinese rescue teams – the China Search and Rescue Team, the China International Search and Rescue Team, and the Hong Kong SAR Rescue Team – have been actively helping Myanmar after a devastating 7.9 earthquake.
Working with local and social emergency response units, these brave heroes saved nine survivors (including a pregnant woman), recovered 59 victims, cleared 287,000 square meters of debris, and provided over 2,000 medical consultations. According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, this marks one of China’s fastest, largest, and most comprehensive international rescue operations in recent years.
The teams have now returned safely to Beijing Capital International Airport on Wednesday – a testament to their professionalism and seamless coordination. Kudos to these rescue squads for showing that teamwork and quick action truly make a world of difference! 🙌
