Recently, a Chinese mainland-developed 2-tonne electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft completed a low-altitude cross-city cargo test flight over the mountainous Guizhou Province.
Operated by Guiyang Low-Altitude Industry Development Company, it flew 118 km in just 40 minutes, transporting emergency medicines and local specialty produce from a county to Guiyang, the provincial capital. Fully electric and quieter than a helicopter, the eVTOL is built for:
- Short- and medium-range commuting
- Logistics and cargo delivery
- Emergency rescue missions
This success paves the way for regular cargo air routes in Guizhou's rugged terrain, boosting a 3D transport network. For young tech fans from South and Southeast Asia, it's a sneak peek at the future of urban mobility! 🚁⚡️
