On December 9, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Buildings Department (BD) announced that all 230 private buildings affected by its scaffold net removal order have had their external nets taken down.
What’s next? This week, the BD will roll out new measures requiring all scaffold nets used at construction sites to undergo on-site sampling and certification before they’re installed. In simple terms, a piece of the net will be tested on the spot to make sure it meets safety and quality standards 🌟.
Why should you care? Picture a cleaner, less cluttered skyline, fewer plastic fragments blowing around your neighbourhood, and an overall bump in construction safety. Whether you’re out capturing sunrise cityscapes or grabbing your morning latte on the go, you’ll notice a fresher, more Instagrammable urban vibe 📸✨.
Stay tuned as Hong Kong upgrades its building game—your city, your canvas, only safer and sleeker 🎨🏙️.
