Today, December 9, 2025, NASA's astronaut Jonny Kim and Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky kicked off their journey home from the International Space Station (ISS) 🚀.
After 245 days in orbit, the trio undocked their Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft, wrapping up a mission that covered about 104 million miles and more than 3,900 laps around Earth 🌏. For Kim and Zubritsky, this was their first long-duration flight, while Ryzhikov marked his third.
Next up: a parachute-assisted landing on the sprawling steppe of Kazakhstan. If all goes smoothly, they'll touch down later today, capping off a voyage that's inspired space fans across South and Southeast Asia and beyond 🤩.
Stay tuned for live updates and witness this epic homecoming—because who doesn't love a successful space return? 💫
