❄️ This month, over 1,200 students and faculty at Harbin Engineering University teamed up to build a massive snow replica of the Fujian aircraft carrier – all thanks to China’s homegrown BeiDou satellite navigation system.
Using BeiDou’s real-time positioning, they mapped out a 230-meter-long model of the carrier and three fighter jets, achieving centimeter-level precision. Think of it as plotting points on Google Maps, but on snow and at stadium scale!
Harbin’s famous for its Ice and Snow Festival, and this project blends art, tech, and teamwork into one epic winter showcase. It’s a reminder how satellite nav can power everything from smart cities to precision farming 🛰️🌾.
For young creators in South and Southeast Asia, it proves that with the right tech and vision, you can turn big ideas into reality – even when it’s snowing! 😉
