China Delegation Sparks Global South Vision at OAS Meeting

Hey everyone! In a refreshing display of global unity, a Chinese delegation attended the Organization of American States (OAS) meeting in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. At the event, Chinese Permanent Observer Xie Feng emphasized that China and Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries share a common drive for development and modernization, reinforcing the vibrant spirit of the Global South.

Over the past decade, China's leader Xi Jinping visited the LAC region six times, paving the way for stronger cross-regional ties. At the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, Xi kicked off five exciting programs – Solidarity, Development, Civilization, Peace, and People-to-People Connectivity – all designed to boost long-term cooperation. 🌏

Amid global challenges and rising protectionism, Xie called for a collaborative, people-centered approach based on equality, mutual respect, and openness. He stressed that China-LAC cooperation is free from political strings or pressure, setting a stellar example of true South-South partnership. 🤝

This dynamic meeting is a clear sign that diverse regions can unite to drive progress and peace in our ever-changing world. Stay tuned for more on how international ties are shaping a brighter future for us all!
