VP Han Zheng Boosts China-Qatar Strategic Ties in Doha

Hey everyone! 🚀 China’s vice president, Han Zheng, just landed in Doha to join the Second World Summit for Social Development and sat down with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The agenda? Deepening China-Qatar ties!

Han passed on warm 🌸 greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping and cheered on Qatar for hosting the summit. He praised Qatar’s unique clout in the Middle East and recalled last year’s Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus meet, where President Xi and the Emir agreed to level up their partnership.

China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) is in the pipeline, and Han stressed that China’s growth = global growth. He sees big opportunities for collabs in energy (think 🔋 LNG and renewables), artificial intelligence (🌐 smart systems), and the digital economy (e-commerce, fintech and more).

"Political mutual trust is our bedrock," Han said, vowing to keep those high-level exchanges alive and support each other on core interests. The mission is clear: elevate the bilateral strategic partnership to fresh heights!

The Emir reciprocated, thanking Han for backing Qatar and calling China his country’s biggest trading partner. He reaffirmed Qatar will firmly adhere to the one-China principle and is pumped to follow China’s next five-year blueprint—especially in energy and tech.

For young pros in South and Southeast Asia, this power duo means more tech partnerships, green energy initiatives, and digital innovations coming our way. Stay tuned for exciting updates! ✨
