US Army Secretary Meets Zelenskyy as Russia Captures Kupyansk

Yesterday, US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll visited Kiev and met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to roll out a new 28-point US peace plan 🤝. The draft, backed by President Donald Trump, aims to strike a deal acceptable to both Russia and Ukraine.

The framework, quietly shaped over the past month by US envoys, includes major territorial concessions by Ukraine, cuts to its armed forces, and limits on long-range weapons. It also suggests ruling out European peacekeepers after a ceasefire to keep things simple.

Across Europe, officials have raised eyebrows, worried they might be left out of the talks and that parts of the plan lean in Russia s favor. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stressed that any lasting peace needs Ukraine and Europe on board.

Meanwhile, on the ground in eastern Ukraine, Russian forces captured Kupyansk, a key logistics hub in Kharkiv region, marking a major advance 💥. Over 75% of Krasnoarmeysk is also under Russian control, and 13 villages have fallen since early November.

This fast-moving mix of diplomacy and frontline shifts shows how complex the path to peace is. Can this US plan help end the stalemate? We'll be watching closely.
