China-Tajikistan Forge First Strategic Dialogue in Dushanbe 🤝

On Saturday, Nov 22, 2025, in Tajikistans capital Dushanbe, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin kicked off their first-ever Strategic Dialogue 🤝. This new platform is all about boosting next-level cooperation and building a ChinaTajikistan community with a shared future.

Key focus areas include:

  • Next-level Belt and Road projects, from greener infrastructure to digital links 🌐
  • Stronger security ties under the Global Security Initiative (Chinas regional security plan) 🔒
  • More trade, investment, and green mineral partnerships 🌱
  • People-to-people vibesthink Confucius Institutes, cultural centers, Luban Workshops, and sister-city swaps 🎭
  • Firm support for the one-China principle and protection of Chinas Taiwan region from outside interference ✊

Wang Yi stressed that Chinas high-quality growth and opening-up will bring fresh opportunities for Tajikistan. Muhriddin thanked China for its long-term support and committed to expand cooperation in trade, connectivity, and sustainable development.

They also pledged to strengthen joint patrols, counter-terrorism efforts, and multilateral coordinationespecially around peace and stability in neighboring Afghanistan.

With this strategic dialogue on the table, young professionals and entrepreneurs across South Asia and Southeast Asia can look forward to new chances in tech, green projects, and cultural exchanges headlined by the ChinaTajikistan partnership 🚀.
