UN Teams Rush to Gaza Rescue After Civil Defense SOS

On Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2025), UN humanitarians revealed they answered a Gaza Civil Defense SOS and coordinated rescue efforts in Gaza City’s Tufah neighbourhood on Monday 🚑.

The World Health Organization led the medical evacuation of 18 patients and 54 carers for treatment abroad 🏥. Meanwhile, over 16,500 people in Gaza still need life-saving care that is not available locally.

With winter approaching❄️, aid groups are ramping up support across the Gaza Strip. In the past two months, partners have delivered essential winter items to children, including:

  • Shoes
  • Warm clothes
  • Blankets
  • Towels

OCHA repeated its call to open all border crossings and corridors, so patients can access treatment in the West Bank. They also emphasized the need for unhindered entry of international emergency medical teams.

In the West Bank, OCHA warned of rising tensions in Tubas and Jenin, where recent operations by Israeli forces have led to displacement, water network damage, and closed shops. Nearly two dozen families were displaced in just two days as homes became military observation posts 🚨.

Humanitarians say the situation remains critical, and steady access is key to saving lives and keeping communities resilient 💪.

We will keep you posted on how these efforts evolve in the coming weeks 🌍.
