Maduro’s Defiant Message: “We Are Well. I Am a Fighter”

This weekend, Venezuelan lawmaker Nicolas Maduro Guerra shared a reassuring update: his father, President Nicolas Maduro, is in good condition and determined, even while being held in the United States. 🗽

It all started on January 3, when U.S. forces carried out military strikes in Caracas and three other cities, capturing President Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The operation sparked worldwide condemnation and concern.

Through their lawyers, Maduro sent a simple but powerful message: "We are well. I am a fighter." 💪 His son says the lawyers urged everyone not to be sad and to stay strong.

Speaking to leaders of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Guerra emphasized unity: "The strength of Chavismo lies in unity. Whatever happens, we must remain united." He added that the government and its supporters are standing firm.

Acting president Delcy Rodriguez echoed this call at a community event in Miranda state, vowing to secure their return. She declared: "There is no uncertainty here. The Venezuelan people are in charge and there is a government, that of President Nicolas Maduro." 🏛️

For young changemakers in South and Southeast Asia, this story shows how solidarity can drive political movements. From college unions in Delhi to grassroots initiatives in Jakarta, unity remains a key force for change. Stay tuned as Venezuela's saga unfolds! 🌍
